COP26 – The UK and India join forces for a global solar grid project.

The project, which is going to be launched during COP26, aims to build a global grid that will transfer solar power from one country to another. Named Green Grids Initiative (GGI), the solar grid will connect all different parts of the world. It will bring together an international coalition of national governments and will be a huge step towards a cleaner greener world. For example, when it is dark in East Asia, it’s still daylight in India. If there was a cable between India and East Asia, the solar electricity could be used to power East Asia. It’s a great initiative – lets hope the collaboration works.
